I have a 2000 Cat 246 with around 800 hrs. Yesterday I started my machine up just fine, let it warm up and started to move some snow. I have a Cat 246 skid steer that has a couple of problems. Problem #1, when running, the grapple bucket would start to open and you'd have to roll the thumb wheel to keep it closed. The work ports for the grappler and auger use were working. One day, the auger turned really slow, then not at all.
Older 246 skid steer. Keeping it short and simple, had a fuel issues so I changed lifter pump and was able to get full fuel pressure and was able to get it running (using either) and it ran fine for a solid 8 hours (also put fuel additive in) Hi to all, we have problems when travel in creeper speed with the cutter in operation, we have done several tests bench on the travel motors and with the hydraulic temperature of 85 ° Centigrade, there is no leakage.
