mustang 960 skid steer review I am looking for a used skid steer with a heavy load lift. Found a 1995 Mustang . I am new to this forum and new to Mini Excavators. I have 0 experance with mini excavators. I have a 150+ acre Pc of property and looking to purchase a used Mini excavator for just personal use on my land which I narrowed down to I think a 5 ton size with rubber tracks with a enclosed cab. I have a 1996 Mustang 960. Excellent machine, very dependable. I bought mine . As with most internet searches for equipment reviews, you typically only find those folks with bad experiences and looking to vent. As someone looking to add a skid steer on a modest budget to the farm, I've found several Mustang's in my price range but I'm leary based on lack of positive reviews. I have the option to buy, I think its a 1995 model Mustang 960. Things I've noticed so far is that it is dirty, meaning no signs of maintenance on this machine for years. The key switch is missing, front lights are gone but electrical is . I'm thinking about getting a mustang 2032 skid loader, is the mustand brand any good? do they have more/less problems then gehl or bobcat or john deere etc?

I just got done looking around, it seems that the mustang 2109 and Gehl 7810are pretty much the same machine with similar reliability issues. Sounds like there is always something small breaking on them.

The same dealer has 2 mid 90's Mustang brand skid steers that are priced about 00 less than the Case and have lower hours and appear to be in great shape. New tires, tight pins, no weld repairs, no leaks, good hoses, not banged up, and clean paint. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the quality and longevity or mustang skid steers. The one i am looking at has an owner that doesn't know the model but it is a early eighties model and is yellow with a four cylinder gas engine. Soon Mustang sold to Gehl, but Gehl kept both brands and home offices open.
