Hello, I have a 2015 CAT 259D and need to remove the front door and bypass the door latch switch in order to run a backhoe attachment. Is there a wiring harness plug or something needed to do this (and reverse the process when I reinstall the door)? It should be a simple open/closed switch. Sometimes CAT likes to be fancy and have a sensing switch but doubt it. If you need to bypass it you can complete the circuit by connecting the two wires, or by tricking the sensor into seeing the door.
If it's used to clean barns maybe the simplest solution is the easiest, take the door off when using it. I hate having the door on if it's not needed or the weather isn't freezing. Getting in and out of a skid steer or CTL is awkward enough without having to worry about a bloody door.
